The Heron

The heron is watching the water splashing from the lake which is half covered with ice from last nights frost - you think. But actually the heron was looking at me! I was sitting on the bench next to the lake with a bag full of bird seeds waiting for the crows. Herons do not eat seeds so it was wasting its time. But I got a nice photo here today at Fælledparken, Copenhagen.

This is an older photo from the summer 2017 where we visited Grenen in Jutland. This concrete structure is one of the around 200 bunkers that were constructed along the Danish coasts during world war 2.

Winter Night

A warm winter night. Two people are sitting intensely looking at each other under the street lights at Dronning Louises Bro, Nørrebro, Copenhagen. To have someone understand your mind is a different kind of intimacy -quote by unknown.  The sculpture is Seated Young People (1942) by Johannes Hansen.

The Mask

I passed Det Ny Teater today which it is one of Denmark's largest theaters. According to the webside visitcopenhagen, the theater was built in 1908 and introduced the first revolving stage in the country - SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSMOKIN'!

Hand Fans

The summer in Beijing is so hot. You only see the small children playing outdoor late in the afternoon and always with a parent right behind them cooling them with a hand fan. The photo was taken at a market in Beijing in the summer 2019.

Hungry Dog

The photo was taken at a McDonald's in Beijing the summer 2019. We almost didn't get our lunch because they only accepted payment through the McDonald's App which required a chinese phone number and as turists we didn't have that. In the end they accepted cash and we got our lunch.
